Jogasaki CUlture Museum
Category: Japanese Culture
Behind the Izu Kogen train station, on the other side of the tracks, is one of the area’s many unique museums. The Jogasaki Cultural Museum is a place to learn about Izu history and culture, view art exhibitions, collaborate with artists, and mingle over coffee.
Originally a collection of artifacts from around the Izu peninsula, the museum now has a friendly cafe (Lingua Franca) where locals and tourists mingle, a learning center (Manabiya), locally produced arts & crafts, and rotating artist exhibitions.
Jogasaki Cultural Museum truly lives up to its name.
