Explore Japan’s Izu Peninsula with a local guide
I’m Jimmy, a local guide specializing in private tours of the Izu Peninsula, a UNESCO Global Geopark. My tours follow the rhythm of slow travel: unhurried, personal, and rooted in sustainability. Together we explore Izu’s stunning coastlines, peaceful forests, terraced wasabi fields, and quiet villages, connecting with the people and stories that make this peninsula unique. Whether you’re seeking nature’s wonders or a glimpse of Izu’s culture and history, I’ll help you discover this unique part of Japan.

What People Say About Our Tours - Testimonials

I booked a tour [Jogasaki Coast] with Jimmy and was beyond blown away. Jimmy knows a lot about the region, but also about flora and fauna, about cultural events – and knows the best photo spots. I would do the hike (which is really suitable for everyone!) again at any time and hope to come back to Izu one day. Thank you Jimmy!
I did a tour of Ike village, I loved seeing the local temple and hearing the story of Aka Ushi (red cow)! We also learned the history of the village and delved into Japanese culture too. The tour was a nice pace and it was easy to make our way around the area. Jimmy’s knowledge of the village and Japanese folklore is very impressive. The residents of the village are extremely kind and the surrounding nature provided plenty of photo opportunities. Lovely weather too!
