Overview
Jogasaki is a living coastline, not just a scenic trail. At Boranaya, a 400-year-old fishing hut, you’ll hear stories of fishing village life and see how people once watched the sea for survival. From there, you’ll walk the one-kilometer Picnical Course, passing remnants of Japan’s sakoku era and discovering coastal plants used for food and medicine. The path leads to sweeping ocean views and the dramatic Kadowaki suspension bridge and lighthouse.
This tour is about more than scenery — it’s about how fishing traditions, natural resources, and national history converge along one of Japan’s most striking shorelines.
